Tiger Woods Declares That He Isn’t Perfect

Tagged under: Golf

Naturally when last night Tiger Woods declared himself to be only human and less than perfect, he could not have been referring to his golf. In his golf he is of course as close to perfection as it gets, but all does not seem to be as it right be in his personal life. Perhaps the massive coverage the press has given to a little driving incident that saw him injure his face is a storm in a teacup, or indeed a mountainous molehill, but it still begs a few questions. It seems that the trail started at the Australian Masters. It is rumoured that while playing in this tournament he met a nightclub hostess from New York though when questioned she denied that she had been seeing Woods. Next it is being suggested that Tiger’s wife Elin had attacked him with a golf club; perfect irony and probably a number nine iron if it was anything like the one she used to smash his car windows or, as she claims, to rescue him from the car. Perhaps Elin’s slight build belies her strength; she used to be a model and is slim and blond. Tiger is around six feet tall, and not exactly slim, yet by all accounts she was able to break into his car, lift his unconscious body from it, and lay him down on the roadside. She had even managed to do it through the back window of the car. Another cause for concern is to where Tiger was heading at half past two in the morning. Perhaps he was attempting to make a quick getaway; perhaps he was, as is reported on several blogs, off to buy Elin a big diamond ring. This weekend Tiger is supposedly taking part in the Chevron World Challenge, though he is no longer the favourite; that goes to Lee Westwood whom Paddy Power is offering at 13/2. Next is Padriag Harrington at 15/2 (Tote Sport), Jim Furyk at 8/1(Stan James) and Steve Stricker at 17/2. All odds correct at time of writing and are subject to change
