Colts tipped for Super Bowl success

With the NFL regular season drawing to a conclusion on Sunday, Indianapolis Colts are down as favourites to go on and win the Superbowl for the second time in four years. The Colts, ranked number one seed after going 14-2 from the regular season, have been but in as 16/5 best price favourite with Bet365, ahead of the 4/1 New Orleans Saints. Both sides, along with the 9/2 Chargers and 9/1 Vikings will take the weekend off as the Wildcard play-offs get underway, with the Colts set to play the lowest ranked winner from the AFC ties between Baltimore at New England and New York Jets at Cincinnati. New Orleans, in the easier looking NFC, will play the lowest ranked winner of the ties between Green Bay at Arizona and Philadelphia at Dallas. Week 17 of the regular season did provide plenty of colour to the form guide going into the playoffs, with three of the weekend’s upcoming ties repeats of games yesterday’s fixtures. The Jets, who travel to the Cincinnati, hammered the Bengals 37-0 in New York in a dominant performance to secure their place in the AFC wildcard. In the NFC, Dallas also kept a clean sheet at home to Philadelphia, winning 24-0, and they will face the Eagles at Cowboys Stadium again on Saturday. The Cowboys aren’t likely to record a similar score line if the handicap is any indication however, with Dallas 5/6 to overcome a handicap of -2.5. Ahead of the other NFC wildcard, Green Bay beat the Cardinals 33-7 at home but the Packers will have to travel to Arizona this weekend where they are likely to face a much sterner test, with Arizona also 5/6 to overcome a 2.5 point deficit on the handicap.
