Early exit expected for Heather Mills

William Hill are offering odds of 4/1 that Heather Mills will be the first contestant to be booted off Dancing on Ice, which gets underway this weekend. The former wife of Sir Paul McCartney has been put at 33/1 to go on and win the series – joint bottom of the pile with Dr Hilary Jones. Bookies believe that the unpopularity of Mills amongst the public, particularly following her highly publicised divorce from McCartney, will prevent her from making it far in the competition. "It is a very open group with no obvious stand-out favourite but we are confident that Heather Mills will struggle," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. Holby City's Jeremy Sheffield is currently the 7/2 favourite with former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tammaddon a close second at 9/2. Kieron Richardson of Hollyoaks fame has been touted as a potential 'dark horse' at 10/1 after his housemate, Chris Fountain, won Dancing on Ice in 2008.
