Selby price plummits after Junhui thrashing

Mark Selby’s dominant 6-1 victory over UK Championship winner Din Junhui has seen his priced slashed to a best price 5/1 with Boylesports for The Masters. Number seven seed Selby becomes joint second favourite alongside John Higgins following the convincing victory at Wembley, with World number one Ronnie O’Sullivan still the favourite at 5/2. Selby, winner of The Masters in 2008 and runner-up to O’Sullivan last year, will now play either number two seed John Higgins or number twelve seed Mark Allen in the quarter finals. Also fancied in the betting is Shaun Murphy, cut from 9/1 to 11/2 with number three seed Stephen Maguire behind him at 8/1. Maguire will face Mark King in the last 16 after King’s shock win over Jimmy White in the wildcard qualifier. That win has seen his price cut to 66/1 but he’s not expected to get past number the Scot, who’s priced at 3/10 to go through to the quarter finals.
