Hatton expected to face Marquez after announcing comeback

Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton has declared that he intends to make one last comeback and the bookmakers have priced him up against two potential opponents, with Juan Manuel Marquez and Juan Urango expected to be stepping into the ring. The Manchester boxer, last seen in the ring being floored in the second round by Manny Pacquiao in May, has announced that he intends to step into the ring for one last time against an as yet unnamed opponent. The bookies have already been guessing on Hatton’s opponent for the bout, likely to take place in Manchester at either the City of Manchester Stadium or the MEN Arena, but Marquez seems to be the most likely option, with Skybet, Bet365, Boylesport and William Hill all opening the book on the fight. All four bar Bet365 are offering a Marquez win at 8/11, with the Hitman 11/10 to beat the current WBA and WBO Lightweight world champion, whose last fight was a points defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr. Skybet have also opened the book on a fight with Juan Urango and that, according to their price of 2/5 on Hatton, could provide a slightly easier test. Hatton beat Urango in a IBF and IBO Light Welterweight title fight back in 2007, although the Columbian is scheduled to fight Devon Alexander later this year.
