Skybet slash prices on City reunion with Hughes set to take Fulham job

The impending arrival of Mark Hughes as Fulham has seen the bookmakers prepare for a Manchester City reunion in West London, with SkyBet slashing prices on both Craig Bellamy and Stephen Ireland making the move to The Cottage.

With former Blackburn and Manchester City manager expected to be officially announced as the new Fulham manager tomorrow, SkyBet have cut the price on two of City’s most likely departures joining Hughes before the start of the season.

Bellamy, a favourite with the Eastland’s faithful, is seemingly not in the plans of Italian manager Roberto Mancini and speculation over moves to Tottenham, Aston Villa and Celtic has been circulating all summer.

But whilst Spurs remain odds-on favourites to land the Welsh forward, the expected appointment of Hughes has prompted the bookie to cut a move to Fulham from 8/1 to just 4/1.

The highly rated Ireland also looks to be on his way out of City, with his midfield opportunities seemingly limited and the 23-year-old is now 7/2 from 10/1 to team up with Hughes.

Aston Villa remain the 13/8 favourites for his signature however, with reports that Ireland may be used as a make-weight in a deal that sees City target James Milner move north.
