188Bet who have multiple sponsorship deals for football with clubs in the English Premier Club are set to become the main shirt sponsor for Rugby Union Premiership club Newcastle Falcons. The Falcons had been sponsored by Northern Rock for the last 10 years but the bank's demise has led to an opportunity for 188Bet who are seeking to increase their profile in the UK . The bookmaker already has deals with Super League’s Wigan Warriors, and Premier League soccer clubs Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton, Bolton, Wigan and Aston Villa. Newcastle Falcons start the new season in the Aviva Premiership away to Sale Sharks on Friday September 3rd and will be hoping to improve on last season's ninth place finish . Newcastle Falcons chief executive David Bell said: "It is great news for the club to have secured such a prestigious main sponsor, and provides a huge boost so close to the start of the new season. 188Bet are a major presence now, and a highly visible brand at top sporting events. To be associated with that level of company is a real coup for us, and we look forward to what will hopefully be a long and mutually beneficial partnership." 188Bet are thought to have paid around £200 000 for the sponsorship package and quote the Falcons at 80/1 to be the Aviva Premiership regular season winner . Perhaps on a more realistic level Paddy Power quote the Newcastle Falcons at 7/1 to finish bottom of the Aviva Premiership in the forthcoming season .
