Middlesbrough’s Innovative Sponsorship Programme Pays Off

Championship side Middlesbrough is having some success albeit mostly off the field and has announced the signing of its second monthly shirt sponsor. Middlesbrough have gained only four points from their opening four matches in the Championship and are now 12/1 to win the Championship with Bet365 having started the season as 6/1 favourites . Details of the new shirt sponsorship deal sees local electrical contractors Wiring Services Limited replace Deepdale Solutions as the main sponsor of Middlesbrough's playing shirts for five Championship fixtures in September. Although financial terms of the agreement were not revealed, the new partnership is estimated to be worth US$30,000. Neil Bausor, Middlesbrough's chief operating officer, said, "This represents another example of our shirt sponsorship concept working in action. We have a great relationship with Wiring Services that has been built up over the past five seasons or so and their business has grown significantly over that period. We are thrilled Wiring Services have become part of this unique opportunity and will work with them to make the month a great success for their business.” The main focus for Gordon Strachan's team this season is of course promotion to the Premier League and Betfair make the Teesiders 14/5 for to achieve their target .
