FREE BETS FOR FEDERER AT WORLD TOUR FINALS

World number four Roger Federer is the bookmakers’ choice for the ATP Tour season finale in London after winning the BNP Paribas Masters title in Paris on Sunday. The victory against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final was his 18th career masters title and took Federer into second place in the all-time Tour Masters table, one title behind Rafael Nadal.

Federer has spent the last few years in the shadow of Nadal who first took his position of world number one in 2008 and has seen Novak Djokovic emerge as the dominant force in tennis winning three Grand Slam titles this year after a sensational start when he went 41 matches unbeaten.

The win in Paris gave Federer back-to-back titles following his victory in Basel the previous week and the Swiss Maestro goes to London in the best of form. With doubts around the world’s top three players, Federer is generally available as the 2/1 favourite for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

Britain’s Andy Murray looks to have overcome his early season fitness problems to climb to number three in the world rankings and is 11/4 second favourite with most bookmakers, including Ladbrokes whose £50 free bet offer is one of the best currently available. Murray was knocked out in the quarter-finals at Paris by Tomas Berdych to end a 17-match winning streak.

It is rare to see Novak Djokovic at such big odds as the 5/1 available at Bodog, but the Serb has been struggling with back and shoulder problems and has had little court time since winning the US Open in September. He retired from his Davis Cup semi-final rubber against Juan Martin Del Potro two weeks after the US Open with his back problem and in his second tournament since, pulled out of his scheduled quarter final in Paris last week to protect injured shoulder muscles.

Rafa Nadal has been resting since losing in the third round of the Shanghai Masters last month, the ten-time Grand Slam winner withdrew before the start of the BNP Paribas Masters preferring to prepare for the World Tour Finals at home. It means the world number two has played just two competitive matches since beating And Murray in the final of the Tokyo Masters 500 at the beginning of October and is generally available at odds of 5/1 to win in London next week.

The 2010 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals saw the world’s top four come out best in their groups to battle out the semi finals, but defending champion Federer believes it could be different this year.  He said: "I don't feel like 5, 6, 7, and 8 have no chance. I definitely think they have a chance to go deep, like it was in the year with Del Potro and Davydenko making the finals. I definitely could see something happening as well like that this year. I definitely think Fish and Djokovic at this point look a little bit weary. But then again, I think with a week's break everything can heal and they're maybe going to be in top shape. So let's assume that everybody is in great shape. I think it's going to be an interesting couple of groups, because everybody can beat everybody I think again."

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who knocked out Federer at Wimbledon and got to the final in Paris, has been climbing the rankings and makes his second appearance in London. The world number six is available at odds of 14/1 with bwin while Tomas Berdych is rated a 22/1 chance by Unibet after qualifying for the finals when beating Murray last week.
