The Paul Nicholl's trained Big Bucks moved another ster closer to jumping immortality with an easy 14th successive victory in the Long Walk Hurdle at Newbury yesterday.

Most bookmakers were quick to shorten the odds on Big Bucks winning the Ladbroke World Hurdle at next year's Cheltenham Festival meeting for a record fourth time but the eight year old is still available at odds of 4/6 with the sponsors who also offer the bonus of betting non runner no bet on the Championship race.

Under Ruby Walsh yesterday Big Bucks was never really in trouble and won with a lot in hand by eight lengths afterwards trainer Nicholls said" He's all class. He looked fat at Newbury and I thought he was a lot fitter today."

Nicholls went on to confirm that Big Bucks will never be asked to jump fences again and confirmed that the the World Hurdle at Cheltenham is likely to be the horse's next run.
