FedExCup winner Bill Haas returns to Hawaii after enjoying a good tournament in 2011. Haas was making his debut in the Tournament of Champions and finished in eighth place, the 29-year-old from North Carolina is 20/1 with Ladbrokes to start the year with victory at Kapalua. The wide open spaces of the Plantation Course could suit the power and precision of big hitting Gary Woodland who will be making his first appearance at the Tournament of Champions. Woodland, who turned pro in 2007, won his first tour event at the Transitions last March and went on to make seven top twenty finishes in his 10 PGA Tour events.  The 27-year-old was ranked 12^th in greens hit to regulation in 2011 and is available at odds of 18/1 with Stan James.

Nick Watney will be a popular choice with golf punters. Watney finished third on the PGA Tour money list after leading the FedExCup points during the regular season. The dynamic Californian was a two-time winner last year and is 10/1 with Ladbrokes to start the year in style with a win at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
