    Match Preview

Ecuador will have done well to still be in with a shout of making the Second Round when they face France and will be hoping Les Bleus already have qualification assured.

Ecuador can be proud of their qualification from the South American section where they only lost at home to Argentina and will be looking to upset the odds to beat a France side which arrived in Brazil in good form.

There is little to go in in terms of head to head statistics between the sides with just one meeting to date. France lived up to their favourites tag with a 2-0 success a friendly encounter back in 2008 and will be hoping for a repeat of that result in a competitive fixture at the World Cup.

Cristian Benitez and Felipe Caicedo look to be the main goal threats for Ecuador and it's worth bearing in mind that the latter is a likely penalty taker when making your goalscorer bets. Karim Benzema would seem an obvious threat in front of goal, but Olivier Giroud is an equally appealing goalscorer bet if starting the game as is Franck Ribery at potentially bigger odds from midfield.
