French-Algerian player Sofiane Feghouli will be a representative for Algeria in the summer's visit to Brazil, providing an attacking presence and assisting quality from the wing for the Group H underdogs. The Valencia CF player will link up well with Islam Slimani to provide goals, and should be the better betting tip to score and reward punters with his longer betting odds in individual goalscorer markets.
Feghouli began his youth career at Red Star Paris in 2008, later playing for Paris FC and then Grenoble in 2004, the latter being the destination for his first senior appearance which came in 2007.
Promoted to the first team at the age of 17, Feghouli made 60 showings for Grenoble until 2010 and netted three goals, the attacking winger and midfielder's impressive performances helping Grenoble achieve promotion to Ligue 1 before moving to Valencia in 2010.
An injury however kept Feghouli out for a lenghty period, having torn the meniscus in his right knee. An eagerly-awaited return saw his performances for Valencia in 2012 earn two Algerian player of the year awards - Le Buteur's Algerian Ballon d'Or and the DZFoot d'Or.
While on loan at Almeria in 2010/2011, Feghouli changed his allegiance having been a former French youth international, now having made 17 showings for Algeria at the country's top level side. Eight 2014 World Cup qualifying matches brought three goals to his name in preparation for the big stage this summer, cementing his place within the team.
Sofiane Feghouli World Cup betting tips
Feghouli is more known for creating goals than scoring them according to his club career statistics, but his technical ability makes him equally as threatening for individual goalscorer markets. His longer betting odds should be exploited in that case, Slimani the favourite for Algeria but carrying shorter odds that make Feghouli a more tempting punt to net first, last or anytime.
