Raheem Sterling Betting Odds

Sterling will be one of Gareth Southgate’s most important players at Euro 2020 with his goals and assists having been integral in their qualification campaign thus far.

He will be looking to continue his impressive partnership with captain Harry Kane and fellow winger Jadon Sancho as England seek their first ever European Championship victory and can be backed at 25/1 with BetVictor to be the tournament’s top goalscorer.

Euro 2020 Betting Odds

England are 5/1 with bet365* and are the joint-favourites to win Euro 2020 and Raheem Sterling will be one of the favourites to pick up the Golden Boot Trophy at the Championships.

England don’t have any easy group by any means alongside Czech Republic, Croatia and Scotland but they do have home advantage with their matches scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium.

Early Career

Raheem Sterling joined local side Queens Park Rangers at age of 9 and excelled across all of their schoolboy age groups. His progress was recognized by England who picked him for the first time at Under 16 level. Such was Sterling’s promise, that Liverpool decided to spend £600,000 on the 16 year old back in 2010 – a then record for a schoolboy footballer – and Sterling continued his development with the reds.

Club Career

Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers gave Sterling his chance in the first team in 2012 and he looked at home in top-flight English football from the outset. His goal against Reading in late 2012 made him the second youngest goal scorer in Liverpool’s history. In all, Sterling made 129 appearances for the reds (in all competitions), scoring 23 goals and such form attracted interest from Manchester City.

Manchester City

In 2015, the blues forked out £49 million to sign Sterling – making him the most expensive player in English football history at the time. Despite a slow start at City, Sterling has developed into one of Pep Guardiola’s most important players and his electric pace combined with ability to find the net with increasing regularity, makes him a huge asset for the Citizens. Sterling scored his first career hat-trick against Bournemouth in October 2015 and he has gone on to register 54 Premier League goals in just 138 appearances for City. Sterling’s form since 2017 has been electrifying and he has contributed to the huge collective success Manchester City have had.

International Career

Despite only being 26, Sterling has made 58 appearances for England, scoring 13 goals thus far. He has showed his importance to the Three Lions time and time again with big performances and important goals in qualifying campaigns.
