Armenia vs Turkey – Over 2.5 goals FT @ 19/20
Turkey have been playing attractive attacking-minded football under German manager Stefan Kuntz ever since he took charge in September 2021. This is why 11 of the previous 13 games the Turks have played across competitions produced at least three goals. We’ve seen the Over 2.5 goals FT & Both Teams To Score option in each of Turkey’s last four outings. The run includes the 3-3 draw to Luxembourg in the Nations League as well as back-to-back 2-1 wins over Scotland and the Czech Republic in November friendlies last year. We’ll take the Over 2.5 goals FT pick is their clash against Armenia at the 19/20 odds.
Belarus vs Switzerland – Belarus Under 0.5 Goals @ 8/13
Switzerland will return to action for the first time since the tough 6-1 defeat at the hands of Portugal in the last 16 round of the World Cup in Qatar in December last year. They will start the new qualifying campaign with a clash against Belarus on the neutral venue of the Stadion Karadjordje in Novi Sad, Serbia. The gulf in quality between these two teams is huge and we expect Switzerland to confirm it and pick up an easy victory at the beginning of the new qualifying process. Belarus are by no means a strong attacking side and we will take the 8/13 odds offered for the Swiss team to keep a clean sheet on Saturday.
Croatia vs Wales – Under 2.5 goals @ 7/10
Wales will begin the new era as they are about to play the first game after Gareth Bale’s retirement from professional football. It will be anything but an easy match as the Dragons will visit Stadion Poljud to take on Croatia on the opening day of the EURO Qualifications in Split. Wales had a disappointing campaign at the 2022 World Cup, finishing the competition in the group stage with a record of two losses and a draw in three outings. The Welsh team have managed to find the back of the net just once in these three games. Despite winning third place in the same competition, Croatia did not thrive in the final third in December either. This is why we fancy the Under 2.5 goals FT pick at the odds of 7/10.
Spain vs Norway – Under 2.5 goals FT @ 19/20
On paper, the clash between Spain and Norway is the biggest game of Saturday’s program. Nevertheless, we do not expect a beautiful affair of football on the occasion. La Furia Roja may struggle to get things going with a significantly changed roster as well as the new head coach. The players may need some time to adjust to life under Luis de la Fuente. On the other side, we expect Norway to park the bus in an attempt to take a point against the group favorites on the road. In these circumstances, the Under 2.5 goals FT pick looks like a decent option at the 19/20 odds.
