Rayo Vallecano v Atletico Madrid – Away win & to nil
Although Barcelona are running away with things at the top of La Liga, there is still an intriguing race to see who will finish runners-up.
Atletico are in the ascendancy, and they have won their last four matches on the trot, netting 11 times, and conceding just once.
Local rivals Rayo Vallecano, meanwhile, have drawn three of their past four games and Atletico are notoriously difficult to break down, hence why I have gone with Atletico to keep a clean sheet for my first pick.
Borussia Monchengladbach v Wolfsburg – Draw
Perhaps Wolfsburg have more to play for as they have an outside chance of grabbing a Europa League spot.
They are seven points clear of hosts Borussia Monchengladbach, who have become draw specialists, having been forced to share the spoils in three of their past four league outings.
When the two sides last met back in October, an enthralling 2-2 draw played out.
While it might not be as high scoring this time, I have gone with a draw in this one for my second pick.
Nantes v Monaco – Away win
After previously going three games without a win, Monaco have won back-to-back, and they are firmly in the mix for a Champions League spot.
In their thrilling 4-3 win over Strasbourg, Eliesse Ben Seghir produced a stunning display, and the 18-year-old was rewarded with a goal.
Nantes, meanwhile, ended a luckless run with a surprise win over Lyon, but they have work to do to safeguard their Ligue 1 status, and they may struggle against Monaco.
I fancy Monaco to leave with all three points, which is available at a short 10/11.
Ajax v Fortuna Sittard – Home win
It has been largely an unforgettable campaign for Ajax, and they are in danger of seeing the Eredivisie title slip out of their grasp.
Fortuna Sittard, on the face of it, are in and around mid-table, and while they narrowly lost 3-2 in their corresponding clash with Ajax last term, it’s hard to see them getting anything out of this game.
To wrap things up, I am siding with a comfortable home win for Ajax.
