With Christian Eriksen once again firing on all cylinders, it means the footballing world can all celebrate as one and after the terrible scenes that unfolded at Euro 2020, many would not have expected the midfielder to be gracing the pitch just a year later.

However, Eriksen has defied the science and the critics and after getting up to speed with Brentford last season, he is once again in demand – demand that will likely see him representing Manchester United at this winter’s World Cup.

Then again, the Danish talent pool does not simply start and end with Eriksen and with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg acting as Tottenham’s midfield shield, he is just as capable of chipping in with goals on the international stage.

Goals that are also supplied by Martin Braithwaite and with the Barcelona forward set to spearhead the Danish attack in the Middle East, his first task will be to lead he and his teammates to the Round of 16
