Tunisia World Cup Betting | Odds & Predictions

We have a range of World Cup predictions available across every team, group and game of the tournament in Qatar. Here is how we think Tunisia will fare at the World Cup, and which betting odds are currently standing out to us.

After beating Mali in a two-legged playoff, it means that Tunisia have booked their invite to football’s biggest party and although they will not want to make up the numbers in Qatar, they may unfortunately have to.

Because if previous performances in the World Cup are anything to go by, things do not look good for the African representatives and after five previous group stage exits, it could well be a precursor to what happens this winter.

Tunisia gave it their all in Qatar, but just missed out on qualification from the group stage. They ended the tournament with four points, losing out on goal difference, after managing just one goal all tournament, while they did only concede one.

Tunisia 2022 World Cup Squad

The Tunisia 2022 World Cup squad has been confirmed, and here are the players who will be representing them in Qatar.

  • Goalkeepers: Aymen Dahmen (CS Sfaxien), Bechir Ben Said (US Monastir), Mouez Hassen (Club Africain), Aymen Mathlouthi (Etoile Sahel).
  • Defenders: Ali Abdi (Caen), Dylan Bronn (Salernitana), Mohamed Drager (FC Luzern), Nader Ghandri (Club Africain), Bilel Ifa (Kuwait SC), Wajdi Kechrida (Atromitos), Ali Maaloul (Al Ahly), Yassine Meriah (Esperance), Montassar Talbi (Lorient).
  • Midfielders: Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane (Esperance), Ghaylane Chaalali (Esperance), Aissa Laidouni (Ferencvaros), Hannibal Mejbri (Birmingham City), Ferjani Sassi (Al Duhail), Elyas Skhiri (FC Cologne).
  • Forwards: Anis Ben Slimane (Brondby), Seifeddine Jaziri (Zamalek), Issam Jebali (Odense), Wahbi Khazri (Montpellier), Taha Yassine Khenissi (Kuwait SC), Youssef Msakni (Al Arabi), Naim Sliti (Al Ittifaq).

Although Tunisia are not blessed with household names, they are perhaps blessed with memorable ones and especially for those who have kept an eye on Manchester United’s younger stars in recent times.

Because with Hannibal Mejbri being afforded an opportunity to show his talents for the Red Devils last season, he will now look to do the same when representing his nation this winter – especially as he already has more than 15 caps to his name already.

While if Mejbri plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, it is fair to say that his teammates are lower down the global football totem pole and with captain Youssef Msakni having current experience of playing league football in Qatar, that will certainly help on the international stage.

Especially as Msakni is the top scorer within the current crop of Tunisian personnel and with he and Naïm Sliti both in double figures when it comes to goals for their country, they will be tasked with delivering these in a difficult Group D.
