St Leger - Frankie Switches To Arrest

Just two days out from the final Classic of the flat season, it’s been announced that Frankie Dettori has swapped horses and will now partner Arrest for John and Thady Gosden.

Dettori was expected to ride the current ante-post favourite Gregory for the Gosden’s but has now chosen to take his chance on Arrest, who was last seen winning the Group 3 Sir Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury in August.

It’s a big call to swap rides so close to the race, but with the ground currently soft at Doncaster, Dettori clearly feels Arrest gives him his best opportunity of a final Classic winner before he hangs up his boots.
