Less than two weeks ago the Henry Cecil stable looked to be out of luck when their Jacqueline Quest was disqualified in favour of the Khalid Abdullah owned Special Duty in the StanJames.com 1000 Guineas.
Since then the Cecil-Abdullah combination have joined forces to record a number of high profile successes.
Bullet Train burst onto the Derby scene with an impressive victory in last Saturday's Lingfield Derby Trial and this was followed by Aviate's win in York's Musidora Stakes, and a quote of 8/1 for the Investec Oaks.
Feature race on Friday's York card was the Group 2 Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup and Cecil's Manifest ran a cracking Ascot Gold Cup trial by slamming Purple Moon by a long looking eight lengths.
Manifest now heads the market for the Ascot showpiece at a standout 7/1 with sportingbet and bet365, a race in which the trainer has a record second to none.
The Rainbow Quest colt is not certain to be suited by the 2 1/2 mile Gold Cup trip but this is obviously a horse going places, and is sure to be a force in this seasons' Cup races.
Although keen on a trip to the Royal meeting Cecil stated: " It's entirely up to the Prince if he would like to run him or not.
" I love Cup horses and it would be lovely to have another one. We'll see what he says."
Cecil-Abdullah hold a strong Oaks hand with Aviate and Timepiece, and another of their fillies joined the equation when Principal Role just got the better of the front running Fatanah in Newbury's Swettenham Stud Fillies' Trial Stakes.
Principal Role is a best price 20/1 with StanJames for the Investec Oaks and for a horse that is guaranteed to be suited by a trip could be good value, if allowed to take her chance.
Cecil's treble was completed when Chachamaidee provided Tom Queally with a double in York's sportingbet.com Fillies Stakes ( Michael Seely Memorial Stakes ) at odds of 5/1.
