Bookmakers are offering free bets and special offers on 2010 Tour De France Young Rider Classification. 23 year old Team Sky rider, Geraint Thomas donned the white jersey yesterday when taking the lead in the Young Rider Classification after finishing second in Stage 3 of Le Tour. The young Welshman is making his own mark in Bradley Wiggin’s team; part of a late breaking group of six, Thomas was just beaten to the line by Stage winner Thor Hushovd. Bookmakers 888 Sport and Blue Square are offering odds of 80/1 for the British hopeful to hold onto his White jersey and win the Young Rider classification. The former junior World Track Champion now lies second in the overall classification for the Yellow jersey behind Fabian Cancellara. His team mate and lead rider, Bradley Wiggins finished eighth in the stage to keep his hopes of winning Le Tour alive. He is lying 14th in the overall standing just 1’ 49” behind the lead and Boylesports are offering 20/1 for him to go on to win Le Tour. One of the toughest flat stages featuring a closing sprint over brutal cobbled paving saw some big name casualties. Race favourite Alberto Contador and Le Tour legend Lance Armstrong both suffered punctures on the cobbles to lose valuable time against the leaders. Contador sitting in eighth position overall is offered at 8/15 odds with Coral. Lance Armstrong lies in 18th position with Coral offering 14/1 for him to win on his final tour. Well fancied Franck Schleck crashed out of the event when suffering a broken collarbone in a pile up at Sars-et-Rosieres.
