Bookmakers are offering free bets for the first Test Match between Pakistan and Australia at Lords on Tuesday. The teams are playing the Two-Test Series in England following security concerns in Pakistan, the second test will played at Headingly on 21st – 25th July. The Pakistan cricket team is in the process of rebuilding due to the turmoil following their winless visit to Australia earlier this year. The Pakistan Cricket Board astonishingly banned and fined half the squad following their embarrassing performances. All-rounder Shahid Afridi is captain and has the task of bringing together the latest crop of talented but temperamental young Pakistani cricketers. Without the batting talents of Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan have only one top six batsman, Umar Akmal, with a batting average over 40. However they have an outstanding bowling attack led by teenage sensation Mohammad Aamer supported by Mohammad Asif and Umar Gul. Aamer's odds are 3/1 with bet365 to be top Pakistan Series Bowler. They have good spinning options in Alfridi, Danish Kaneria and Saeed Ajmal, so the Aussie batsmen can expect a tough time. Mike Hussey skippers the Aussies in the first neutral test match to be played at Lords buoyed by the one day side’s recovery to win the last two ODIs in the series defeat by England. They bring in wicketkeeper Tim Paine and leg spinner Steve Smith for their Test debuts with Simon Katich and Marcus North returning after missing the one day series. The Test side has had little batting practice in the lead up to Lords although Hussey hit a century in the two day game at Derby. Hussey is 11/2 with bet365 to be top Australian Series Batsman.
