Martin Jol has been cut to as little as 4/1 to become the next Fulham manager after bookmakers reported a huge surge of bets this morning.
The former Tottenham manager is now at a best price of 8/1 with Paddy Power to take over from Roy Hodgson in the Craven Cottage dugout, having fallen from a high of 50/1 earlier this week.
Jol, who since leaving Spurs has enhanced reputation with stints at German Bundesliga side Hamburg and Dutch giants Ajax, remains the fourth favourite for the job however, with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson the 7/4 front runner. Former Bayern Munich manager Ottmar Hitzfeld is the 7/2 second favourite whilst current Finland and former England U-19 coach Stuart Baxter is at 6/1.
As well as Jol, Paddy Power also prices Croatian coach Slaven Bilic at 8/1 (drifted from 11/2) whilst American coach Bob Bradley and former Charlton and West Ham boss Alan Curbishley are both priced at 12/1. Current Cardiff manager is next in line according to the bookmakers, available at a best price of 16/1.
The highly-rated Doncaster Rovers coach, Sean O’Driscoll, has drifted out to 50/1 with the Irish bookie after being considered at early 8/1 front runner.
