Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson Admits Turning Down Poisoned Chalice

Following his remarkable claim it has been speculated that Ferguson wouldn’t been have considered as an alternative to current England boss Fabio Capello but may have been asked to replace Terry Venables after Euro 1996 and Glen Hoddle three years later. United beat Celtic 3-1 in their first tour match last night and next face Philadelphia Union on 21st July. They will face Kansas City Wizards on 25th July before the final game against MLS All-Stars on 28th July.
