Bookmakers report a flood of money for England before todays 1st Test against Pakistan and have shortened the price on England to win to a price of 8/11 with William Hill . Spokesman Rupert Adams said " We were expecting Pakistan to be well supported after their win over Australia but it has been one way traffic for England all week".
Pakistan are a very inexperienced and inconsistent team but do have a number of potential match winners in their side . Bowlers Asif and Gul are particuarly dangerous and Gul took 18 wickets in four tests against England in 2006 . Mohammed Aamer is the third Pakistan fast bowler whom is almost unplayable on his day .
England's batsmen will face a much tougher test than in the recent series against Bangladesh and the Trent Bridge venue often provides some assistance for fast/medium paced bowlers .
A draw is unlikely here with the weather forecast generally good and there have only been 2 draws in the last 11 Tests at the ground .
Fancy prices about a Pakistan victory have largely dried up but the 10/3 available with Betfred is higher than available on Betfair and is better value than England at 8/11.
