Online bookmakers are offering free bets for the 2010 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe run at Longchamps on Sunday 3 October.
Fame And Glory returned to action with an easy win in the five runner Keeneland Royal Whip Stakes over 1m 2f at the Curragh yesterday.
The four year old colt trained by Aidan O’Brien has been installed 10/3 favourite for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with William Hill following the injury to King George winner Harbinger
The presence of the Arc favourite had frightened away all but four of the entries in the Group Two contest with two of them, Dixie Music and Grand Admiral, from his own Ballydoyle stable.
Dixie Music made the pace until the final furlong when 1/12 shot Fame And Glory was eased past by jockey Johnny Murtagh to draw clear by three and a half lengths at the line, Dixie Music held by one and quarter lengths for second from Grand Admiral to complete an Aidan O'Brien 1-2-3.
The trainer said: "It's good to get him back on a good start again as we gave him a mid-season break.
"His next run could be in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown or the Arc trial at Longchamp. After that we'll have a look at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
"He has progressed well all season and his performance here in the Tattersalls Stakes (in May) was very good."
