Team Red Bull took first and second at Suzuka when Sebastian Vettel won the Japanese Grand Prix from his team mate Mark Webber on Sunday.
New customers signing up with online bookmakers will receive free bets that can be redeemed on the Formula One Drivers Championship and the Korean Grand Prix on 24 October.
Vettel was always in control of the race having started from position one on the grid and his win closed the gap on championship leader Webber to 14 points.
The German Wunderkid’s second successive Suzuka victory has turned the race for the Drivers Championship effectively into a three man race.
Fernando Alonso shares second place in the standings after his third placed drive on Sunday and leaves McLaren’s British drivers Jensen Button and Lewis Hamilton dropping away from contention after finishing fourth and fifth respectively.
Mathematically the two Brits could catch Webber, the Australian leads Hamilton by 28 points with Button three points further back, but with 75 points to race for and the superiority of the Red Bull car, the championship looks out of reach.
Bookmakers’ odds reflect the chances of the McLaren drivers, Hamilton is available at odds of 28/1 with Extrabet to regain the world title while the bookmaker bets 66/1 for Button to retain his crown.
Vettel may well have found his mojo after wasting a number of winning opportunities in the first half of the season and Sporting Bet are offering tempting odds of 5/2 that he can reel in Webber in the closing stages of the season.
