Concerns about a series of lacklustre displays culminated with Birmingham being booed off the pitch when suffering their first home defeat in a year against Everton three weeks ago. Online bookmakers are giving away free bets to new customers and special cash back offers for the Premier League match at St Andrews between Birmingham and Blackpool which kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday. Birmingham fans are desperate for something to cheer about not having witnessed a league goal at St Andrews since the opening home game against Blackburn back in August. Despite Blackpool’s highly impressive away record with wins at Wigan, Newcastle and Liverpool, dissatisfaction on the terraces will grow exponentially if Alex McCleish’s side doesn’t return to winning ways on Saturday. Bookmakers agree with fans expectations of victory and Totesport bet odds of 20/21 for a home win. Blues’ striker Jerome Cameron will have a late fitness test on his ankle but McCleish may decide to stick with Nikola Zigic who scored when standing-in against Arsenal last week. The 6’ 8” Serbian striker showed what a handful he is at the Emirates and Victor Chandler is offering odds of 11/2 for Zigic to score the first goal. Leading scorer Craig Gardener is unavailable; the midfielder sits out the last of his three match ban. Winger Jean Beausejour is sidelined and is due to return from his knee injury next month while James McFadden won’t be back until February with his knee problem. Ian Holloway will stay true to his attacking philosophy which has worked well so far with Blackpool tenth in the Premier League, largely due to nine away points this term. Leading scorer Marlon Harewood will be hoping for a starting slot after scoring for the third time this season at Manchester City last week. But, with no new injury concerns, Holloway is expected to keep with the same starting eleven which has worked out so well thus far, meaning Billy Clarke (knee), Alex Baptiste (knee) and Louis Almond (shoulder) are all absent as they continue their recuperation. Possible starting lineups: BIRMINGHAM: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Dann, Ridgewell, Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, Fahey, Hleb, Zigic. BLACKPOOL: Gilks, Eardley, Crainey, Evatt, Cathcart, Adam, Vaughan, Varney, Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Grandin.
