Strong winds will greet the teams in New England and there are some big storylines before this game. Online bookmakers are enticing new customers with free bets when signing up ahead of the televised NFL clash between the Patriots and Vikings on Sunday night. Brett Favre, the Vikings QB has started a league record 291 consecutive games, BUT...... this game could end his streak as he has two broken bones in his left ankle. Surely the great man can't play, can he? Vikings coach Brad Childress refuses to rule Favre out and I suspect he'll start. The other big story is wide reiver Randy Moss who has recently rejoined the Vikings from New England. He caught 50 touchdown for the Patriots and will be a big miss for them. The big thing is the fact Moss knows the intricate workings of the Patriots offence. "Sure, he can probably tell them the plays," Patriots QB Brady said. "He knows the signals and stuff, but that's why you have to change them. Hopefully, he tells them one thing, then you fake it and they're guessing and maybe they guess wrong. Who knows?" Bookies are in two minds a little here what with Favre situation. Even if he does play i suspect the Vikings will struggle they will remain winless away from home this year. Brady threw for 372 yards and four touchdowns in the teams last meetings. One player that the Vikings will rely on heavily in order to win will be running back Adrian Peterson who has rushed for 640 yards this season and is in fine form. He will need to have a huge game and even more so if Favre leaves the game with his ankle injury. Extrabet offer New England -5.5 @ 10/11. Great value and take the value.
