Roy Hodgson takes his Liverpool team to Stoke as the Reds aim to build on their fantastic win over Premier League champions Chelsea last week. Bookmakers online are offering free bets to new customers as well as money back specials ahead of the ESPN televised game. Liverpool, and in particularly World Cup winner Fernando Torres, were in superb form as they dispatched Carlo Ancelotti’s men 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday. Their revival looked to be continuing when Torres finished coolly in the first-half of their game with Wigan on Wednesday evening. However, old frailties came to the fore later in the match, and Hugo Rodallega managed to slot home an equaliser. It’s another tough away trip for Liverpool, as they face a Stoke side buoyed following a hard-fought 3-2 win over Birmingham City at the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday night. Tony Pulis’s men were cruising at 2-0 before Birmingham got back into the encounter through goals from Keith Fahey and Cameron Jerome. But Stoke weren’t to be denied and midfielder Dean Whitehead struck late after a scramble in the box to secure a much-needed victory. Stoke got the win on the back of four straight league defeats. Liverpool have struggled to get a result here over the last few years and the fixture is expected to be close. That man Torres’ odds will be shortening with bookmakers once again as he continues his return to top form. Stoke City v Liverpool is live on ESPN with kick-off at 5.30pm.
