Fulham and West Brom meet at Craven Cottage on Tuesday with both teams desperate to turn round the form that sees them plunging down the Premier League table. Mark Hughes’ team slipped into the bottom three after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane left them with just one win in the last ten games, in the meantime West Brom went down to a fourth consecutive defeat when Man Utd won 2-1 at the Hawthorns. The Baggies are four places above Fulham in the Premier League table, but things are so tight in the division this season, Fulham could go above West Brom on goal difference with a win. History would seem to be on Hughes’ side, other than an extra-time victory in the 2005 League Cup, West Brom have not won at the Cottage since 1967 and have managed just two league wins on the road this season. Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has left to compete in the Asian Cup, he will be away for a month and it falls to David Stockdale to deputise. The 25-year-old former Plymouth Argyle keepr has made four Premier League appearances since signing last season and has not played since August. Hughes continues without Matthew Briggs, Bobby Zamora and Philippe Senderos who remain out with injuries. Belgian international Moussa Dembele could be brought into to boost Fulham’s attack after being sidelined since mid November with an ankle injury. West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo will be forced to make changes from the team that were unfortunate to lose against Manchester United. Pablo Ibanez and Steven Reid were substituted after sustaining injuries during the game and are unlikely to start against Fulham. Di Matteo has been unable to field a settled back four for several weeks and the injuries to Ibanez and Reid come as further blows for the Baggies manager. Gianni Zuiverloon has been recalled from his loan spell at Ipswich and he is expected to figure along with Gonzalo Jara who returns from suspension. Leading scorer, Peter Odemwingie missed a crucial penalty against United on Saturday and will be eager to repay his team mates with a goal as quickly as possible, Unibet offer odds of 9/4 for the Nigerian striker to score at anytime on Tuesday. Possible starting line ups: FULHAM: Stockdale, Hangeland, Baird, Paintsil, Hughes, Etuhu, Duff, Murphy, Dempsey, Davies, Dembele WEST BROM: Carson, Jara, Cech, Thomas, Scharner, Morrison, Brunt, Dorrans, Zuiverloon, Mulumbu, Odemwingie
