Tottenham must beat relegation strugglers Blackpool to cling on to their slender hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Online bookmakers are giving free bets to new customers which can be used to bet on the Premier League game between Tottenham and Blackpool at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Harry Redknapp has seen his team slide to sixth position after spending much of the season in the top four battling closely with Manchester City for the final Champions League place. But with four games to play, Spurs must overhaul a seven-point deficit and a much inferior goal difference to deflate City’s ambitions.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is also suffering a downturn after a promising start to life in the Premier League, the Tangerines have just one win to show from their last fifteen games. They have been in freefall since the turn of the year and are sitting outside the drop zone by virtue of better goal difference than third-bottom Wigan Athletic.

Blackpool’s lonely win was against Tottenham in late February, in a bizarre match when Redknapp’s team squandered a host of chances, Holloway’s players proved more clinical when converting three of their four shots on target to win 3-1 at Bloomfield Road.

It’s difficult to imagine the Seasiders can pull it off again in North London and Holloway’s side is the big outsider on Saturday, 9/1 with Victor Chandler, 888sport and Blue Sq. Although Tottenham’s odds of 1/3 with Paddy Power, William Hill and Stan James aren’t exactly appealing since a 3-1 win against Stoke is their only win in eleven games following the memorable Champions League win in Milan more than two months ago.

Bet365 and Betfred offer odds of 5/1 for the draw at White Hart Lane, an unlikely result until you consider that Spurs have drawn four of their last six Premier League games at White Hart Lane, two of those against relegation threatened sides, West Brom and West Ham. Blackpool come into the game on the back of successive home draws and have shared the spoils in three of last six.
