Online bookmaker Sportingbet is to refund the win stakes of the placed horses if So You Think wins the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday. Punters staking £5 or more with Sportingbet on the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe will get their win stakes refunded as a free bet if So You Think prevails and their selection finishes second or third, up to a maximum £50 free bet.

So You Think is trained by Aidan O’Brien and the five-year-old has been vying with Sarafina for favouritism in the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe ante-post betting market. A winner of four Group 1 races in Australia, So You think came to Ireland last winter and has won four of his five starts this season, three in Group 1 company. The New Zealand-bred proved too good for last year’s Arc winner, Workforce when they met at Sandown over the ten furlong trip of the Coral Eclipse and they will re-oppose over a longer trip in France.

Alain De Royer-Dupre trains Sarafina who finished third in last year’s Arc after almost being brought down on the last turn, recovering to run on well and finish just under three lengths behind Sir Michael Stoute’s 2010 Investec Derby winner. The elegant French filly won her first Group 1 race in June when beating Cirrus Des Aigles in the Grand prix De Saint-Cloud and comes into the race after completing a hat-trick of wins at Longchamp 19 days ago.

Workforce won his seasonal re-appearance at Sandown in May but has had to settle for the runners-up position in two outings since. The four-year-old has not raced since his second to Nathaniel in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and will be re-united with jockey Ryan Moore who has recovered from a season-threatening broken arm sustained at Goodwood.

Goldikova’s half-sister Galikova is also prominent in the Arc betting, the Freddie Head-trained three-year-old was an impressive winner of the Prix Vermaille in very soft going last time on her first attempt over Sunday’s course and distance.

Japanese raider, Nakayama Festa returns for another crack at the Arc, after being beaten by a neck when runner-up to Workforce. The five-year-old must also turn the tables on a three-and-a-quarter length defeat by Sarafina in his only outing this season earlier in September.
