Synchronised is now the 2nd  favourite for the John Smiths Grand National at Aintree on April 7th following his impressive victory yesterday in the 2012 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained, JP McManus-owned nine-year-old wasn't travelling well at any stage in the contest but he stayed on best of all to win by just over two lengths under another impressive ride from champion jockey Tony McCoy.

Synchronised is now best odds at 14/1 with Stan James to win the Grand National for which he will carry top weight of 11st 10lb should he take part. The 2012 John Smith’s Grand National takes place at Aintree on Saturday, April 14 and offers record prize money of £975,000.
