Nigel Pearson’s side is prospering since the New Year thanks in no small part to the signing of New Zealand striker Chris Wood from West Bromwich Albion. Wood scored 11 goals in 19 appearances on loan at Millwall before joining Leicester and the 6’ 3” goal machine has continued his form with seven goals in five starts for his new club. His arrival has helped Leicester climb from fifth to second in the Championship since the turn of the year and the Foxes go into Thursday’s game against Wolves on the back of four successive league wins.

It’s a contrasting story at Molineux where Dean Saunders took over from Stale Solbakken in a bid to turn around a catastrophic season for Wolves. Hopes of a quick return to the top flight soon vanished in the first half of the season and the emphasis is now on saving the club from back to back relegations. Saunders watched his new team come from behind to earn a promising draw at home to Blackburn in his first game in charge only to relinquish an early lead in the next game when crashing out of the FA Cup in the 2-1 defeat against Blackpool at Molineux on Saturday.
High flying Foxes are overwhelming favourites against a Wolves side without a win in the last seven games.
