Sunday's big race comes from The Curragh, where a number of horses have been tipped to land a wide-open handicap in the Irish Cambridgeshire at 4.35.
Heading the betting for the 1 mile test is Pricewise tip Hasanour who is in good heart after back-to-back wins at Galway and over course and distance. Available at 7/1 this morning, Mick Halford's charge is now no bigger than 11/2 with Paddy Power who will be refunding single stakes on the 2nd and 3rd placed horses. The 4-year-old has gone from strength to strength in handicaps and makes plenty of appeal under a penalty in his hat-trick attempt.
The market leader may not have the run of the race though with 21 runners involved and there are a number of others horses with claims of their own. Defining Year retains the blinkers which helped produce a good run for fourth behind Vastonea at Galway last time and the course winner could be about to go well again, while Hint Of A Tint was back in sixth and would need further improvement.
Stretaw is a reliable competitor who always puts in a good performance and a win today would be just deserts for a number of near misses. The course and distance winner has gone up almost a stone in the ratings for finishing second six times since June and Gavin Cromwell's mare could be on the premises once again today.
No Dominion has gone well over track and trip of late having won on soft ground before finishing third off a 10lb higher rating last weekend. Andy Oliver's 5-year-old meets the winner, Hasanpour on 5lb better terms and has 3lb taken off for jockey Conner King's claim.
Elsewhere Canary Row will hope the ground stays soft and could come into the equation having ran well over course and distance twice this season, so may be of each-way interest at 1/4 odds for the first 4 places.
