The Ivory Coast Football Federation announced on Wednesday that Wilfried Bony has reportedly completed a £25m transfer to Manchester City, a move which could prove a bargain for both the Premier League champions and punters backing the Citizens in 2015.

The 26-year-old has found the back of the net no fewer than nine times in the Premier League this season to boost the Welsh side's placing to ninth overall in the table, but will now move to Manchester City in the current champions' push to defend the coveted crown after penning a deal until 2019 that could stretch to a fee of £28m with performance-related add-ons.

Bony joined Swansea for a club-record £12m from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013, but has since thrived for the Swans and ended 2014 as the Premier League's top scorer with a fine total of 20 goals to his name.

It could therefore be very well worth considering Bony for the league's top scorer of the season at a currently very bonny (excuse the pun) price of 50/1 as we speak - although if you sign up with 888 Sport via Freebets.com exclusively and place Bony as the league's top scorer then the Ivorian could be potentially driving you closer to a 120/1 win if that proves the case, thanks to triple odds available on your first bet.

The deal with City does still come with added twists however, the first being that Bony may not return potentially until February due to his international duties with the favourable Ivory Coast squad at the Africa Cup of Nations, joined by future City team-mate, Yaya Toure.

The second is of course that he would be alongside the enviable Sergio Aguero, the Argentine striker close to a return to full fitness it seems after a lengthy time on the sidelines since the December clash with Everton, one that halted a relentless opening to Aguero's season which featured 14 goals - still 2/1 to be top scorer of the league with BetVictor.

Manuel Pellegrini meanwhile will be relieved to earn an extra name to his team sheet having had to fret over the length of City's injury list. Aguero returned against Everton as a subsititute for the first time since suffering a knee injury against the Toffees in early December, while Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic are also approaching full fitness but may find it trickier to squeeze the nod over Bony from February.
