Enhanced odds have proved a very effective way for online bookmakers to attract new customers and 888sport has the most flexible offer giving treble odds on the first bet placed, no matter what the event.
Price boosts and enhanced odds have been targeted at football and racing fans for the most part but it’s the turn of Golf punters to get some tremendous value at the Masters in Augusta this week. With 888sport’s treble odds offer, golf fans can register an account and get three times the odds for any player they choose. Just make the first bet up to £10 on the player you think will win the Masters at the normal price on 888sport. If your selection is successful and gets to don the green jacket on Sunday, you’ll be paid at the normal odds straight away and extra winnings will be added to your account within 72 hours.
The great thing about 888sport’s treble odds offer is all the winnings will be paid in cash which means it can be withdrawn straightaway so there is no obligation to make another bet with the extra winnings like some enhanced odds offers.
The offer applies to any sport and 888sport has an extensive choice of sports covering all the major events and thousands of minor events in over 20 different sports. But, it’s the 2015 Masters that will garner most interest this week as it’s the first, and probably the best, major golf tournament of the year.
McIlroy vs Spieth Is Masters Main Event
Ulster’s Rory McIlroy is the favourite at 6/1 and needs the Masters to complete a career grand slam of golf majors. The 25-year-old won the US Open and USPGA last season which means he remains on course for the rare achievement of winning all four majors in a 12 month spell.
Jordan Spieth is a player that many will be watching closely. The hugely talented 21-year-old won his first tournament at the back end of last year and is enjoying an amazing start to the new season where he has already won two TOUR events. The competition between him and McIlroy is now golf’s main event with Tiger Woods relegated to the undercard.
There couldn’t be a more fitting place for Woods to make his return than Augusta. The 14-time major champion has been out of action with injury and after a couple of practise rounds, announced he’ll play in this week’s Masters. His fans will be rooting for Tiger to claim his fifth Augusta crown but the odds suggest he might be a candidate for missing cut as 888sport go 50/1 Woods to win the Masters, that’s 150/1 for new customers taking treble odds.
Master’s Champion Awakes
Defending champion Bubba Watson hasn’t played on the TOUR since finishing third in the WGC-Cadillac Championship on March 8 but appears very laid back about his lack of tournament play this season.
The two-time Masters winner told USA Today: "I've played. I just haven't played in competition. I feel good. Last year I took off two weeks before the tournament and did pretty good."
Watson has won the event twice in the last three years and is a 10/1 chance on 888sport to don the green jacket again on Sunday which would take him level with Phil Mickelson who won the Masters in 2004, 2006 and 2010. Big Phil was disappointed to miss the cut in last year’s event and is 25/1 to bounce back with another Augusta victory this week.
Adam Scott won in 2013 and will bring his long putter to take on Augusta’s challenging greens. The Aussie is up there among the market leaders at 18/1 but 2011 winner Charl Schwartzel is among the outsiders at 80/1 along with 2009 winner Angel Cabrera at 100/1.
