Manchester United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford for a Premier League clash on Saturday 12th September 2015 - Live at 17.30 on Sky Sports 1. It's one of the most eagerly anticipated fixtures of the season and is sure to be a popular attraction for punters looking to get their weekend off to a profitable start.
Manchester United's solid start to the season counted for nothing when they lost to Swansea City last time out, a result which raised the same old questions about their defensive capabilities. Louis van Gaal will hope that his side can recover from that setback and become more organised at the back for the visit of fierce rivals Liverpool.
The Reds were also on the receiving end in their last match, suffering a shock 0-3 loss to West Ham which ended their unbeaten run and probably cost a few punters a Saturday acca win! Liverpool make the short trip to Old Trafford looking to bounce straight back and like their hosts, have defensive issues to address.
While United might have saw off Brendan Rodger's men 3-0 in the corresponding fixture of last season, Liverpool were able to claim the 2013/14 Old Trafford clash by the same scoreline and it's anyone's guess which way the game will go this time around. In a game that looks tough to call, plenty of punters will be sitting on the fence and can still get involved in the action by opting for a bet on the First Goalscorer market.
Goalscorer Second Chance
Wayne Rooney should be brimming with confidence having eventually overhauled Sir Bobby Charlton's record to become England's all-time leading goal-scorer during the international and will be the go-to selection for must punters here. United's new signing Anthony Martial will be hoping to get some game-time, but it could be worth waiting for the team sheet if you fancy him to have a debut to remember. Memphis Depay is a deadly free-kick specialist and looks a leading candidate from midfield, while Juan Mata is another player to consider.
For the visitors, Christian Benteke should continue to lead the line and will be keen to impress as Daniel Sturridge has returned to training and will be pushing for inclusion before long. Danny Ings could start alongside the powerful Belgian with Roberto Firmino behind the pair in the hole.
