32Red Reports Surge In Revenues From Online Casino
Gibraltar based 32Red Plc this week reported a trading update for the six months to the end of June showing a big increase in player numbers and revenues .
The online betting and gaming operator 32Red is currently promoting a £32 Free No Deposit Bonus and the success of it’s marketing campaign in 2011 was shown with an increase of 13% in new casino players in the period compared with 2010 .
32Red signed up over 13000 new players in the first half of 2011 leading to an increase in revenue of over 41% to £9.5M .
Ed Ware the Chief Executive at 32REd is convinced that some of the gain is down to the disappearance of sites owned by William Hill which were the subject late last year of a legal action in the British High Court.Ware said that being able to advertise and market without having a similarly named site — 32Vegas — as competition had had a marked effect on his company’s figures since the sites in question were withdrawn in 2009.
32Red are proud sponsors of Swansea City football club who will play in the English Premier League next year for the first time and this will have a marked effect on the recognition of the 32Red brand . A new 3 year deal with the Welsh club was agreed in February this year .
Much of the success of 32 Red has come from their focus on the UK online casino market but Ware has refused to rule out a move into other European countries saying ” While the focus remains in the UK, the Board continues to monitor developments in Europe.”
Ware is particularly interested in Italy saying , “We would consider opening up there ahead of slots being allowed, with a blackjack and video poker offering.”
With a very succesful online casino offer in the UK , presumably it is just more of the same for 32 Red in the next 12 months .
