Liverpool injury update

Here is all the latest Liverpool team news before their clash with Southampton.

Wataru Endo was seen leaving the stadium after the League Cup final on crutches and in a protective boot after taking a blow to his ankle. He is set to be assessed in the coming days.

Mohamed Salah missed the final after he suffered muscle tightness when coming off the bench against Brentford earlier this month. Liverpool assistant boss Pep Lijnders said in the build-up to the cup final that a late decision would be made over Salah’s fitness, suggesting he is close to returning.

Ryan Gravenberch was stretchered off inside half an hour after being caught by a late challenge from Moises Caicedo on Sunday. Gravenberch took part in the post-match celebrations on crutches. “I hope nothing is broken, but it looks like ligaments,” Klopp said on the Dutchman.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Darwin Nunez both missed the clash with Chelsea but the pair were in attendance at Wembley and are expected to return at some point this week.

Elsewhere, Alisson has a muscle injury and will be out until April alongside Diogo Jota, who suffered a knee injury vs Brentford.
