Arsenal Fans Trolled For What They Chanted At The Chelsea Game
January 11, 2018
Video Assistant Referees have finally been trialled in English football, with the technology being used for the second time during Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
It followed Monday’s use in Brighton’s win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup, and so far it has been effective in helping the officials on the pitch make clearer decisions.
Arsenal fans have been trolled on Twitter after chanting for Martin Atkinson to use it for clarification at Stamford Bridge, when Victor Moses appeared to clip the heels of his Nigeria teammate Alex Iwobi in the first half.
No penalty was given, and late in the game it was Chelsea’s turn to call for the replays after Cesc Fabregas was challenged by Danny Welbeck, but Atkinson waved away their claims too.

It is all fine and good wanting VAR to be used, but chanting about it does seem a bit silly…
