Arsenal injury boost

While Arsenal fans are no doubt concerned about Bukayo Saka pulling out of the England squad this week, the north Londoners have been handed some good news elsewhere on the fitness front.

This comes in the form of Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu both starting in a behind-closed-doors clash at QPR’s TSG Training Centre as they continue their returns from injury.

Partey played over an hour vs QPR, while Tomiyasu came off at half-time as Arsenal were beaten 4-0.

Tomiyasu’s return would be especially huge for Arsenal at this stage of the season as they currently have no natural cover for Ben White at right-back.

Jakub Kiwior has taken up a new role at left-back to compete with Oleksandr Zinchenko, but with Jurrien Timber still sidelined, Arsenal’s options on the right-hand side of defence are slim.
