Arsenal team news

Here is the latest Arsenal team news ahead of their next outing.

Declan Rice complained of muscle tightness during the Palace game so was withdrawn with 20 minutes to play.

Mikel Arteta said after the match: “(Rice) was feeling some tightness. I don’t know what muscle it was. But when he says that at 3-0 then obviously we don’t want to take any risks.”

Gabriel also went off in the second half of the Crystal Palace drubbing with an injury.

Arteta said of of the Brazlian: “He had some discomfort; he had a tackle in the first half and was a bit struggling, so it was the right moment to take them off.”

Finally, Thomas Partey is expected to have to wait a little longer before he can make his playing return after suffering a thigh injury, though a return vs Nottingham Forest is not out of the question.
