Arsenal faced off with Bournemouth on Saturday as they looked to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season.
The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by bitter rivals Tottenham in their last match but had no such issues in gameweek seven.
Bournemouth were winless in their previous six Premier League matches and that run continued at the weekend.
The Gunners took the lead after 17 minutes via star man, Bukayo Saka. Arsenal were then awarded penalties either side of the break with Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz stepping up to convert the spot-kicks before Ben White added the 4th and final goal in the 93rd minute.
Following the match, it was revealed that Arsenal have won their opening three away games in a top-flight campaign for just the fourth time - also doing so in 1930-31, 2004-05 & 2013-14. What makes this season even more impressive, though, is it’s the first time the Gunners have done so without conceding a single goal.
Arsenal could go top of the table this weekend if they beat a Manchester City who have lost two in a row without the suspended Rodri.
Mikel Arteta’s men can be backed at 11/2 with bet365 to win the 2023/24 Premier League.
On picking up the win vs Bournemouth, Mikel Arteta had this to say: “Very happy, very happy, the way we approached the game since yesterday, the team was ready to play we knew about the challenge we had ahead of us against a team that don’t have what they deserve in terms of the games they have played.
“They don’t give you any time, the ball is always under pressure, small ground, very difficult to get out of that but I think we read the game really well and earnt the right to win it.”
