Arsenal set two unwanted records vs Liverpool

Arsenal faced off with Liverpool in the FA Cup on Sunday, looking to improve on their 1-1 draw with the Reds on December 23 in the Premier League.

But when all was said and done, Arsenal fell to a 2-0 defeat and are out of the cup. The Gunners return to action on January 20 vs Crystal Palace and are 4/7 to win that tie with bet365.

Arsenal set unwanted records

Arsenal put out a fairly strong side to take on a Liverpool team who were without Mohamed Salah, but an own goal from Jakub Kiwior and a Luis Diaz strike in the 95th minute was enough to put Mikel Arteta’s side out of the competition.

The loss continues a rather shocking streak for the north Londoners and has also seen two rather unwanted records emerge.

Arsenal have now won one of their last seven games in all competitions, losing each of their last three. It is their fewest wins over a seven-game period under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have also lost consecutive home games by a margin of 2+ goals for the first time since May 2009 (Arsenal 1-3 Man Utd, Arsenal 1-4 Chelsea).
