Arsenal will accept Aaron Ramsdale transfer bids on one condition

Arsenal are willing to sell goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in January on one condition.

According to recent reports, Arsenal will only accept an exit for Ramsdale in the January transfer window if the bid is a ‘big’ one. This news comes as the England international continues to be linked with a potential move away following a recent change in his squad status.

Ramsdale has been the no.1 option for Mikel Arteta since making the switch from Sheffield United for a fee worth roughly £30m, quickly displacing Bernd Leno between the sticks.

However, the Englishman’s ability to perform as no.1 for a side chasing the title was called into question at the back end of last campaign.

Arsenal spent much of 2022/23 top of the Premier League before collapsing in April and losing the title to Manchester City, with Ramsdale putting on some questionable displays during that period.

Arsenal have since signed David Raya on loan from Brentford, with the Spaniard quickly usurping Ramsdale as the north Londoners’ no.1.

This has left Ramsdale cast aside as the cup goalkeeper, which has brought up questions over his future at the club.
