Ahead of the game, it has been revealed - along with a number of other stats - that Aston Villa can make personal history vs Burnley:

  • Burnley have won their final league game in five of the last eight calendar years (D1 L2), beating Stoke City 1-0 in their last game of 2022.
  • Aston Villa’s 15-game winning home run came to an end against Sheffield United last time out (1-1). Despite this, they’ve won 16 games and earned 50 points at Villa Park in 2023, their most at in the league at home in a calendar year since 1983 (18 wins, 57 points).
