Draxler Is Firmly On Barcelona’s Radar

While although Barcelona are perceived to have little in the way of money these days and a lack of finance was the root cause for Lionel Messi’s departure in the summer, it does seem that funding has been found from somewhere in recent times.

Funding that has already seen Ferran Torres switch from Manchester City during the January transfer window and with new manager Xavi still looking to put his own stamp on the Camp Nou outfit, the signing of the 21-year-old is not the only move he aims to complete.

Because the former midfielder is now looking towards Paris for personnel and although he would love to bring Lionel Messi back to Catalunya, a more pragmatic approach will have to be taken in the New Year.

One that sees Barcelona set their sights on the capture of Julian Draxler instead and although he arrived in the French capital in 2017 with plenty of promise, he has failed to live up to expectations.

Something that is perhaps not the fault of his own, it is more the fact that PSG can always add more superstar talent to their ranks and because of this, Draxler has often been the odd man out.

However, his time on the PSG fringes could be set to come to an end and with the club’s Qatari owners unwilling to stand in his way, they have told their Spanish counterparts that 15 million euro will be enough to land his signature before the end of the month.

Unfortunately for Barcelona, the capture of Draxler is unlikely to come before the weekend and after surviving a Copa Del Rey scare in midweek, they will now look to get the better of Granada at the Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes.

Should you think they have enough to get their LaLiga campaign back on track, you can back Xavi’s men to win on their travels at the tempting price of 3/4.
