Barclays Scottish Open Golf: Molinari Brothers To Pressure Clarke
Bookmakers are offering free bets for the final day three balls at the Barclays Scottish Open on Loch Lomond Golf Course today.
Ulsterman Darren Clarke may feel the heat when he lines up against Italian brothers, Edoardo and Francesco Molinari for their lunchtime tee off.
Elder brother Edoardo leads into the final day on 15 under par after a fabulous eight under par 63 yesterday. His 198 54-hole total is the lowest ever recorded at Loch Lomond.
Following his 67, Clarke is one behind on 14 under with a six shot cushion to joint third placed Peter Hedblom and the younger Molinari, Francesco.
Edoardo wants his brother to get off to a flying start to put pressure on Clarke at the top of the leaderboard, saying: “I just hope Francesco shoots a few birdies early on to get in the mix and make it a great day,”
Three ball betting; 11/8 F Molinari (bet365), 19/10 E Molinari (Betfred), 9/4 D Clarke (Sporting Bet).
Clarke will also be concerned with the progress of Sweden’s Peter Hedblom who shot 69 for his third round total of 205. Hedblom is also trying to qualify for next weeks Open with a top five finish at Loch Lomond.
With only one Open entry up for grabs, Hedblom needs to finish in front of Clarke. The Swede will tee off before the Ulsterman with England’s Graeme Storm and Ireland’s Shane Lowry.
Storm and Lowry both trail Hedblom by two shots on 207 following respective third round scores of 69 and 66.
Three ball betting; 6/4 Storm (Stan James), 7/4 Lowry (bet365), 21/20 Hedblom (bet365)
